April and May are amazing in Italy and Greece, with warm weather and masses of spring flowers in the countryside, but without the same level of heat as in the summer months. September is a wonderful time to see elephant in Tanzania as they gather in the grasslands. It’s also when temperatures in Namibia are at their most pleasant, so this is a popular time to visit. Mauritius is at its best in October, and while there’s a possibility of rain in the Maldives, this is a great time of year to see whale sharks and rays. November sees heavier snowfall begin in countries like Switzerland and Iceland, making this a good time both for skiing and for seeing the Northern Lights.
